We’ve reached our 14th iteration of This Is Night Bass and it’s a well-rounded mix of talented artists and unique sounds. From old friends to fresh faces, UKG to bass house, this dynamic curation represents who we are. Label boss AC Slater kicks off the release with his archetypal bassline swagger on ‘Dibby Dibby DJ’, following that is Hans Glader’s low-swinging grooves on garage heater ‘Nostalgia’ featuring rap flows from SG. The heavy house beats of ‘Kilos’ from Basura Boyz and Tombz take the energy up a notch right into Badger’s UKG-influenced ‘High Like This’ with Ak Renn on the vocals. ANDRSN joins the Night Bass fam with synth-driven ‘Move Like’ featuring PVC. Two of our NB Freshmen seal off the comp starting with 1997 and his bass-house banger ‘Dial’, followed by fellow graduate Chuck Shadow with the dark and savage sounds of ‘War Cry’.

Ootoro - Energy/Flashing Lights

Ootoro turns the energy up with his first single release on Night Bass Records, ‘Energy/Fashing Lights’. The lead track features vocal work from Chyra over ominous tones and a savage bassline, making for a dark and heavy bass-house banger. The dark tonality of the release continues over onto the b side where we have the revved-up house beat and vocal hypes of ‘Flashing lights’.

Square Perception - Lemon EP

France-based Square Perception reaches new heights with his high-energy Lemon EP, donning 3 tracks that showcase his unique and complex soundscaping. His 2nd solo Night Bass EP hits full throttle from the get with ‘Changes’, followed by the dark and sinister melodies of ‘Rumors’. Next up is the equally powerful ‘Lemon’, delivering a rave-ready bassline perfectly rounding off this energetic release.

Badger - Eww/Losing

We’re always excited to hear what the extraordinary Badger has for us next and we’re always left inspired by his genre nonconformity and his ability to produce outside the box. He impresses once again with his new A/B single on Night Bass - ‘Eww / Losing’. Composed of a visceral palette of melodies and an animated approach to house, this release is another powerful exploration of Badger's versatility as an artist.

Jay Robinson - Blight Town/The Heater

Jay Robinson cements his position as a Night Bass icon with a massive 11th release on the label with his ‘Blight Town’ single. On the b-side we have the ‘The Heater’ - a track that speaks for itself - a certifiable heater with heavy bass sounds that provide an excellent balance to the groovy bassline on the title track.

Champion has been a strong fixture in the UK bass scene since 2011 with his unique blend of garage, UK funky and grime. We've been dying to get our hands on another release from him since he left his mark on This Is Night Bass Vol 4 in 2016. Luckily he blessed us with TWO heavily anticipated heaters that have been making their rounds in the sets of the most VIP DJs for years already. 'Jet Wash' kicks the release off with it's skippy groove, followed by the head banging, gun-finger inducing bassline of the b-side 'Gunshot'.

Night Bass - Best of 2021

The Best Of Night Bass 2021 compilation charts an inspiring musical evolution shaped by the turbulent times over this past year, offering a curated reflection of the artistic adaptation that took place when nightlife disconnected and dancefloors emptied. A broader, reimagined listening experience for our audience at home emerged; From tapping deeper into our UKG roots for releases that weren't club-ready bangers like MPH’s ‘Nova’, to experimenting with new styles on tracks like Zero & Noisy’s genre-bending ‘Mother Nature’, along with drawing inspiration from the tumultuous climate like with Qlank & AC Slater’s ‘Suffocating’, to celebrating moments with the release of AC Slater & Chris Lorenzo’s ‘Fly With Us’ as the world started to open up again.
